Petrohué is one of the most voluminous rivers in southern Chile, and also a very productive ecosystem with abundant trout and salmon. The imposing vegetation of the watershed, the skirts of the volcanoes and the foothills of the mountains together provide ideal conditions for the insect population that is the primary foodsource for the trout. Along the course of the Petrohué, you will be able to practice a variety of fly-fishing techniques, whether casting from a boat or wading along its beaches and tributary streams.
